3.       From the internet, in relation to Cultural Diversity, find a picture and a definition of “Melting pot” and “Garden salad”.
Melting Pot: it means different cultures gathering in 1 country and blending into 1 culture which makes a whole new culture that is stronger than the previous one.
Garden salad: different cultures mixed together to make a unique culture.


4.       Britain today is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world. Look on the internet and find out which nationalities make up the “ethnic minority population of over 4 million”.
Indians, Pakistanis, Black Caribbeans, Black Africans and Bangladeshis.
5.       Australia is another of the most culturally diverse countries in the world.  The University of Melbourne has a policy on Cultural Diversity. Read the two paragraphs and summarize them in your own words.
The university of Melbourne have a system for cultural diversity that encompasses differences based on race, ethnicity, language, religion, value and belief systems, disability, class, gender, age and educational background. The university is seeking social harmony and cohesion that includes all staff and students so they value their cultures more and deepen their cross-cultural understanding.
